The Cervelo R5 is the ultimate all-round race bike: high stiffness, low weight, all-day comfort and excellent handling – having topped the podium at the Tour de France in 2022, there’s no doubting this bike’s capabilities!
Unashamedly lightweight, the frame tips the scales at just 703g, but this feathery weight doesn’t come at the cost of power transfer. The R5 is known for its high lateral stiffness, ideal for fast-paced rides and racing scenarios, yet it retains all-day comfort as a result of the vertical compliance engineered in the carbon layup. Changes have been made to the front end of this latest generation R5 to ensure it cuts through the wind, introducing a new aero-optimised head tube, as well as completely concealed cables at the front end.
This R5 is fitted with SRAM Etap AXS, offering class-leading shifting performance at the click of a button, now completely wirelessly! Hydraulic disc brakes are powerful and consistent come rain or shine, keeping things confident and composed on fast, technical descents. Equipped with carbon finishing kit and Reserve 34/37 carbon wheels, the Cervelo R5 really is the full package!

FASTER IN EVERY DIRECTION
The new R5 frame is 130g lighter than the previous model—a 16% reduction from an already-light frame. And while aerodynamics weren’t a focus with this frame the way they would be on an S5 or P5, bringing the cables inside reduced drag by 25g.
DARKER THAN NIGHT, LIGHTER THAN AIR
The color black may absorb all light, but Cervélo Five Black is anything but heavy. This ultra-minimal graphics and paint package results in a frame that’s significantly lighter—they’ll never even see you coming.
LESS STIFF, STILL FAST
The R5 is stiff, but not too stiff—the Goldilocks of climbing bikes if you will. Poise, stability, and power transfer that feels “just right” and keeps you fresh and ready to take on the road ahead.
SRAM INTEGRATED POWER
Red and Force builds include Quarq Zero powermeters integrated into the crank. The integration of a powermeter results in better stiffness, lighter weight, and improved accuracy over aftermarket solutions—and the DZero delivers power measurement accurate to +/- 1.5%, even in variable temperatures.
